Guidelines for Moving In

Please check in at the Leasing Office when you arrive to receive your keys and other important moving information.

If you are using professional movers, it is mandatory that you obtain a copy of a current certificate of liability coverage and forward to a member of the management team. Keys will not be given unless a certificate has been given to the Management Office. Be sure to reserve an elevator time slot with our management office by calling 781.388.0300.

The garage entrance on the Abbott Street side of the building is available for unloading moving vehicles. This street is between 160 Pleasant Street and the church. Please do not move items via the lobby entrance.

We kindly request you use caution when moving objects to avoid damaging halls and doorways in the common areas. Please discard any empty boxes, trash, or broken items. For large boxes, please use the dumpsters in the Pleasant Street garage, all other trash can be broken down and placed down the trash chute on your floor.

Please remember to be considerate of your neighbors and help us maintain a quiet, clean and respectful community.

Please remember to contact the local utility providers to set up your electricity service (required), and cable and phone services (optional).  Their phone numbers are as follows:

To report a need for emergency maintenance please call (781) 388-0300, or email us.
To report urgent or emergency maintenance needs after hours or on weekends, please call the same number and press 1. 

For emergencies not relating to building maintenance immediately call 9-1-1.

Parking

Residents may rent a parking space in the 160 Pleasant Street garage for $75.00 per month. Parking spaces will be available to residents on a first come first served basis. The management office will retain information on all legitimate vehicles to be parked in the garage. Cars illegally parked in assigned parking spaces will be towed at the vehicle owner’s expense. Visitor parking is available for guests of Residents. The cost is dependent on the time needed. There will be a visitors permit issued. Visitor parking is also available in the neighboring public garage, or in public parking spaces along Pleasant and surrounding streets. Residents may not perform vehicle maintenance of any kind while parked in the garage. Residents park their vehicles in the 160 Pleasant Street garage solely at their own risk, and should therefore take care to remove valuables and secure their vehicle when parking. Because of specific garage clearance heights, not all tow trucks will fit in the garage safely, therefore residents should report illegally parked vehicles in the garage to the management office rather than calling a towing company. Management will contact an approved towing provider.

Building Access

Your access FOB will work on any designated entranceway as well as the lobby, common area living room and fitness facility doors.  Look for the rectangular grey FOB reader adjacent to the door latch.

Health Facility

The onsite fitness facility is open for your use and convenience.  The fitness room hours are 6:00am – 11:00pm. Sanitized wipes are located in the fitness room to wipe down all fitness equipment after use.

Mail

Mailbox keys will be distributed at time of move in. Mailboxes are located off the Lobby on the first floor across from the elevators. Please put your name on the inside of the mailbox you are assigned to. This is necessary in order for the Post office to deliver your mail. Also, please download and fill out our package letter.

Intercom

The intercom is located next to the front door in the glass encasement. Your intercom # is randomly assigned to your last name. When ordering deliveries such as take-out food, please be sure to give your last name so the delivery person can find your intercom #. Management will require your telephone number to activate your intercom line.  If you have multiple lines, please indicate the line to which the intercom should ring. When the phone rings, answer the phone and press the number 9 to let in your visitor. You may enter the * button if you wish to end the call.

Trash

Once the building construction is complete, there will be a trash room available on every floor to accommodate normal household waste. During a busy move-in period, dumpsters are provided in the lobby level of the garage adjacent to the garage entrance. All boxes should be broken down and trash must be in bags.

Smoking

All residents are reminded that 160 Pleasant is a non-smoking building in all common areas including the garage, sundeck, lobby, other entrances, and areas directly surrounding the building exterior.  We appreciate your cooperation with our smoke-free policy.

Apartment
Condition
Statement

Management has inspected your apartment home prior to your move-in date.  We acknowledge that there are some minor items still requiring attention by the construction contractor, and these items have been noted on a construction punch-list.  We kindly request that you wait a week before submitting your Apartment Condition Statement to provide contractors time to address punch-list items.  In accordance with state law, please submit your final signed statement within fifteen (15) days of your move-in date.

Sundeck Policies

The sundeck will be open daily from 8am - 9pm. We are very excited to have our sundeck open to our residents. We have recently purchased outdoor patio furniture for your comfort. Please be respectful of all residents, and be aware there are apartment homes located on the sundeck level. The sundeck is a residential recreation area, and we ask that the same policies that are used for other common areas in the building are followed when using the sundeck.

The current policies for the sundeck are that guests and children are welcome but they must be accompanied by a resident, and please no smoking or alcohol, no pets, no grills, no furniture other than provided, no parties.
